Great value on bundle

I was looking for a comprehensive study tool for my clinical exams and saw the bundle discount for the OSCE Stations and Clinical Examination Notes. I'm a student, so saving money is a big deal. The discount made it really affordable compared to buying them separately, and it felt like a significant saving. I also heard from my uni society about a special code, which I used. It was definitely worth the purchase for the amount of material I got. Felt like I got a lot for what I paid.

Decent for Qbank

Got the Medical Qbank. It loaded fast. Questions were good, covered a lot. Interface was simple to use. Helped me study for my exams. Worth the price.

Good for finals prep

I purchased the Finals Revision Packages for my upcoming exams. The ordering process was smooth, just a few clicks. I got access instantly, which was great. The OSCE Stations were particularly helpful, especially the Cardiology and Respiratory ones. The mark schemes were detailed enough for me to understand what examiners look for. I found the Clinical Skills Videos a bit basic, but the content overall is solid. I did have a question about updating my payment method and support got back to me within a day, which was good. It's a useful resource, definitely helped with my confidence.

Are their Qbank questions updated for current UK guidelines? Don't wanna be learning old stuff for my exams.

G Gwen Z. 1 month ago
Yep, they update it pretty regularly. I remember seeing a notification about new guidelines being incorporated a few months ago for some topics. They try to keep it current.

I think they update the clinical content fairly often. I didn't run into anything that felt super outdated while I was using it earlier this year.

Can you get a free trial for OSCEstop? Wanna check it out before committing to a full subscription.

A Amber Okafor 4 weeks ago
I don't think they do a standard free trial, at least not that I saw when I signed up. Sometimes universities or societies might get special access for a short period, but you'd have to check with them.

Afaik, no free trial. Your best bet might be to ask if anyone in your year has it and can show you around, or just commit to a short subscription if they offer one.

How does OSCEstop compare to Geeky Medics? I use GM for some things already, but considering switching for the structured OSCE stations. Is it worth paying for OSCEstop if I already have GM?

D David Marsh 1 month ago
I used both actually. Geeky Medics is good for basics and videos, but OSCEstop felt more like actual exam practice with the structured stations and mark schemes. More in-depth, I'd say.

OSCEstop is way better for actual OSCE practice. Geeky Medics is more for learning the core skills. OSCEstop simulates the exam better, especially with the Qbank and mock exams.

Hey guys, thinking about getting OSCEstop for my finals prep. Is it actually useful for UK medical schools? Like, will it cover what I need for my actual exams?

L Laura Bennett 3 weeks ago
Yeah, definitely. I used it for my finals last year and found it pretty comprehensive. The stations were really similar to what we got, especially for history taking and comms.

It's legit. A lot of my cohort used it. I think they keep it updated with UK guidelines and stuff so you're not learning outdated info. Helped me pass my Gynae OSCE big time.

Quick question on discounts. My uni med society has a code for OSCEstop, but I'm wondering if there are any better deals floating around? Should I wait for Black Friday?

S Steve 1 month ago
From what I remember, the society codes are usually your best bet. They typically range from 10-25%. Black Friday might have something, but it's not guaranteed to be better, and you might miss out on study time.

I've always just used the society discount. It's easy and applies right away at checkout. Not seen many other public codes that actually work for new subs.
